BERND WINDHOFER

Bernd has been teaching yoga and its sister meditative and contemplative arts since 2005, having practiced deeply and daily since 2001. His passion for teaching is helping all who wish to dive deep to find their way to a life that becomes more magical, profound and meaningful every day.

Expect to be challenged and sometimes pushed into the proverbial river, but always with kindness, and never without paddle and life jacket.

Deep down we all yearn for something richer, more powerful, more viscerally felt, yet we all too often become stuck in mundane, day to day concerns of survival and basic needs being met. This retreat is a chance for us all to dive into a different world just beneath the surface, a world of incredible power, granting access to limitless wisdom and love. The gateway? Our deepest longings. They will provide an entry into a full week of yogic posture, breath and meditative practices led by Bernd, and sound healing gifted to us by Larissa.

Copsamare Guesthouses offers a perfect haven for relaxation and discovery in the heart of Transylvania. All houses have been restored according to the traditional architecture, decorated with local furniture and provided with the comfort of modern lifestyle. A very special atmosphere welcomes you in a cozy and comfortable environment.

Copşa Mare is a unique unspoiled Saxon village, situated only 2 km away from Biertan, famous UNESCO World Heritage site. It is in the center of the Transylvania Triangle formed by the historic cities of Brasov, Sighisoara and Sibiu. This part of Romania is famous for its fortified churches, its infinite and pristine landscapes and for its culture rich with tradition.

You will be able to enjoy much of the Transylvanian culture by means of all the activities we provide, as well as the authentic traditional cuisine we serve; our organic ingredients are grown in-house or come from local producers to reduce our carbon footprint.

HOMEMADE SEASONAL MEALS

Delicious and freshly cooked food prepared by Larissa and the people of Copsa Mare. All meals will be shared on a communal table and we will nurture you with plentiful local organic & healing foods.

Community and connection are important to us, shared practices, hikes, family style meals and here in Transylvania we want to take time to explore handcraft, traditions and the beautiful culture that resides here.
